Benefits of regular bike services

Improved Performance

A well-maintained bike will operate better than one that isn’t.  Lubricated chains, reliable brakes and gears, and suspension systems that are in top working order are going to give you confidence and better results than those that are not.

Safety

The last thing you want is your bike to fail you at the worst possible moment.  When your bike is properly serviced, you can be assured that you’ll be as safe as possible when hurtling down a hill or zooming along the asphalt.

Warrantees

Often manufacturers will stipulate certain services be carried out in order to ensure your bike and attached parts are guaranteed for the full period.

Save Money

Whilst a regular service does cost money, the cost of wear and tear on bike parts that haven’t been maintained is much more costly in the long run.

Enjoyment

It’s much more enjoyable to ride a bike that has been cleaned and serviced than one that hasn’t.  You’ll be glad you got it serviced when you are enjoying the smoothest ride you’ve had in ages!

Frequently asked Questions about our Bike Service Centre

What bikes do you service/repair?

We service all makes and models of bike – nothing is off limits for our highly-skilled bike mechanics.

Can I supply my own parts?

Yes.  We welcome you to BYO parts for professional installation if you prefer.

How often should I service my bike?

That really depends on how you use your bike and how often you ride it.  We always recommend a service at least once a year but if you are spending a lot of time on your bike then a more regular service is advisable to avoid more costly repairs.

Can you repair a flat tyre on my bike?

Yes of course.  This is generally a quick 10-30 minute job and our team can repair or replace your tyre/tube on the spot while you wait or pop out to run a quick errand.

Do I need to book in for my bike service?

Not at all.  We encourage you to book ahead of time to ensure you aren’t without your bike for longer than necessary however, if you’d like to just bring it in and add it to our servicing queue, we can book it in there and let you know when it’s ready to collect.

What if my bike needs more work than included in a service?

Our friendly bike mechanics will always let you know if they believe any further work needs to be done on your bike.  You’ll get an outline of what is required and a cost estimate so you can decide if you’d like to go ahead with the work or not.
