The Bump track was originally an Aboriginal trail between the coastal and mountain regions in the early days of settlement, was a crucial link between Port Douglas and the hinterland for settlers and miners. We start with a short ride along Black mountain road before entering the famous Bump Track, where we descend the single trail into the darkened rainforest below. After stopping for a breather at Robbins Creek and taking on some stunning scenery. Then its adrenaline time as we approach Slatey Pinch and some fantastic downhill trails. On reaching the Mowbray Valley, we stop to appreciate the tranquil surroundings and that you conquered the famous Bump Track at night! You’ll then have a nice 20 minute easy ride back to Port Douglas before being dropped back in your accommodation

A Great Day Out!

“A fantastic day out riding the Bump track. Steve is a fantastic host, very informative about the area and was happy to answer all our questions about Australia. We loved the riding from the table lands through the rain forest to the coast. We would highly recommend a mountain biking trip as a great way to really see the area.”

Best thing we did in Port Douglas.

“Thanks Steve. The kids and I really enjoyed the ride. It was voted the best thing we did at port Douglas over snorkelling at the reef and Daintree”
